Top 7 Heartfelt Holiday Commercials of 2020

YouTube is a valuable marketing tool for small businesses during the holidays. Here are what the biggest brands are doing to capture consumers' hearts and minds this holiday season and beyond from Pro Net, networking groups near me

1.) Xfinity "The Greatest Gift"

Thanks to Xfinity, we get the immense enjoyment of watching Steve Carell in the role he was born to play: Santa Clause. In this light-hearted holiday advert, Santa tasks his elves with coming up with unique gift ideas to make up for the year we've had. After a few duds, the elves come up with the idea of gifting togetherness in the form of all the things that remind us of our loved ones.

2.) Kohl's "Give with All Your Heart"

The year 2020 has undoubtedly changed the way that we communicate. The Kohl's "Give with all Your Heart" commercial stories a young girl and an elderly neighbor's unique friendship developed via the display of notes to each other in the window. Although they are distant, their bond is real. The girl saddens when her new friend disappears for a while, but all is well when the woman returns to wish her Merry Christmas.

3.) Etsy "Gift Like You Mean It"

When we can't all be together, Etsy's "Gift Like You Mean It" commercial will quickly bring a happy tear to your eye. Watch as Nana, and her grandkids spend Christmas morning together over Zoom and open a special custom-made present from her grandson. Because "the perfect present goes the distance, even when you can't."

4.) Woodie’s

Adorable older people. An unexpected good deed. What's not to love? This advert for the Irish-owned DIY store Woodie's captures the essence of selflessness and gives us all the feels this holiday season.

5.) Macy's "In Dad's Shoes"

The best part of the holidays is the feeling we get when we give to others. Macy's "In Dad's Shoes," advert follows a daughter's unexpected journey to find her dad the perfect gift. The lesson in the end? This year, the real gift is the thought that you put behind it.

6.) Match.com "Match Made in Hell"

We may have had a tough year, but Ryan Reynolds and Match.com are hoping you can look back at it with a small laugh while you hope for a better 2021. The "Match Made in Hell" advert hilariously follows the love story of 2020 with none other than Satan himself. In an ironic ending with meteors crashing all around, Satan says, "I just don't want this year to end;" "Who would?" 2020 muses.

7.) Walmart "America's Cart"

The theme behind this commercial? "This year was like any other until it wasn't." As we all spend more time indoors, Walmart gives us safe and simple ways to get all of our essentials online and end the year with the things that matter.
